Texas AgriLife Hosts Disaster Assistance Workshop
Texas AgriLife is hosting a Disaster Assistance Workshop in Raywood, Texas, September 16, 8:30 a.m.-noon. It takes place at the Raywood Livestock Market, 14810 E. Highway 90 .

“Due to the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, we will be hosting a seminar to highlight programs and assistance for farmers and ranchers affected by disaster,” said Erin Kimbrough, AgriLife Extension coordinator for family and community health, College Station. “This program will focus on the various disaster assistance programs available for those farmers and ranchers affected.”
Workshop topics will include:
— Emergency assistance for livestock- and crop-related expenses and losses.
— Emergency financial assistance.
— Disaster relief funds.
— Financial assistance programs to help with farm and land damage.
— Programs to help with crop and livestock losses.
— Deadlines for applying for disaster assistance programs.
— Restoration and rehabilitation of farm and ranch land.
