We've been told of a Farm Bureau-sponsored meeting called Dinner on the Farm with Congresswoman Candice Miller and Agriculture Committee Chair Goodlatte.  The dinner will be on August 29th at 6:30 pm at the John and Connie Brendel farm, located at the corner of Lake Pleasant and Burnside Roads in North Branch.

If you RSVP to your local Farm Bureau office or to Jana Fritt at
989-550-6245 there is no charge to attend.  Otherwise there will be a $5
charge at the door.

We do not know if NAIS is on the agenda for this meeting.  Whether it is
or not, take advantage of the opportunity to let Miller and Goodlatte know how you feel about NAIS and other topics that affect small farmers and ranchers.  Please spread the word.
