Since our founding, FARFA has been the foremost organization fighting the National Animal Identification System. In the last year, we have emerged as one of the principal organizations protecting produce farmers and food producers from the imposition of unnecessary and destructive “one-size-fits-all” food safety regulation at the federal level. In addition to leading these ongoing fights, FARFA is expanding its work on other important issues for independent agriculture, including beginning an education campaign on the dangers that genetically modified foods (GMOs) pose to the environment, animal health, and human health.
This is a critical time for us to engage legislators and regulators to make sure that the voice of independent agriculture is heard loud and clear. FARFA has a proven track record of conveying clear and effective messages, bringing together groups from across the entire political spectrum for maximum impact, and responsibly using funds in ways that are consistent with our mission statement.

TEXAS MATCHING DONATION
Texans, if you donate now, your donation will be doubled! Two donors have provided a $5,000 matching grant for donations given to support our efforts in the Texas legislative session, so your donation will pack twice the punch.
In the coming Texas legislative session, FARFA will be working to pass bills to:
* improve consumer access to raw milk
* reduce unnecessary regulations of farmers markets
* allow people to produce “cottage foods” to sell directly to consumers without burdensome commercial kitchen requirements
* reduce fees on small-scale cheesemakers
Our Texas work is in addition to our work at the national level on issues such as animal ID and food safety. We need your help to be effective at both! Donate online or download our membership form to mail in your donation.
